Greetings from the Department President

Welcome to the Department of Mississippi of the American Legion
Auxiliary--the largest patriotic women's organization in the world.

With more than 800,000 members across the United States and
beyond, we have been able to provide 10 million hours of volunteer
service over the past year.  In communities around our state and
across the nation, our vital programs enrich the lives of veterans,
especially those hospitalized in 171 VA Medical Centers across the

Auxiliary members believe in the ideals and principles of America’s
founding fathers and pledge to foster patriotism, preserve and
defend the Constitution, promote allegiance to God and Country, and
uphold the basic principles of freedom of religion, freedom of
expression and freedom of choice. The Auxiliary embodies the
spirit of America that  has prevailed through war and peace and
continues to stand firmly behind America today,  as it did when the
organization was first founded.

Not a member?   We hope you will join our efforts to serve our
veterans and  today's active  military.
