Peaceful setting at the Central
Area Conference...more than just
The Central Area Fall Conference met November 18-20 at the serene
paradise of Lake Tiak O'Khata in Louisville.
On Saturday, November 19, 5th District President Patricia Trest called
the meeting to order at 12:45 p.m. After the opening prayer by the
Department Chaplain, Pledge of Allegiance and Preamble, District 4
President Rosemary Merriman welcomed the more than 50 members.
6th District Vice President Leslie Crosby gave the response.
Patricia introduced the Department Officers, PDPs, and guests. She
then turned the meeting over to Department
President Glenda Wheelis.
President Glenda called on Department Program Chairman to go over
the Plans of Work.
Past Department President Janice Crosby took the opportunity to
present several National Citations for work done in 2004-05 to
members present: Unit Web Sites to Units 112 and 56; Chilren and
Youth to Rosemary Merriman; and showed off Mississippi's
membership awards for a 100% plus year.
The meeting closed with prayer and adjourned.
